Lift off!!!

We're OFF!  We've been on the road for 38 minutes and the GPS claims we're getting into Pittsburgh right before 6:00 pm.  Which is cutting it close, because we need to be there at 6:00pm.    Not sure if it's accounting for the crazy freezing rain storm we're supposed to be driving into.

Our last 24 hours in NJ was very hectic.  Lots to do - packing, inventory, organizing, setting my kid up with my mom and making sure they're going to get along ok.  And then my kid's laptop and phone died!  So, I had to figure out how to get them fixed.  "Great timing, huh?' commented my kid.

Fortunately, Kristen, my tour manager, is a Goodness-Send!  She's a hard worker, organized, thorough, resourceful, supportive and we have great conversations.  Yay!  And oh yeah, she loves driving - and will be taking the wheel for all 7400+ miles of this tour.  Amazing, if you ask me.

As we were trying to get out of town, we had a few stops to make and then we were about to get on the NJ Turnpike and then Kristen turned to me, "Do we have your EZ Pass?" -- So, back to my place, and a call to my mom on the way to ask her to get the Pass so we could jet.  Driving down my street, she was standing on the side of the road, waiting for us and handed me to Pass through the window - and then we were off!

I don't have a hi-tech way to track our progress, so I'm going to use the map Sarah and I used to outline the route.  You can see the big orange X above.  That's us starting off.  And right this minute, we just left NJ and entered PA!  Wohoo!

i guess my biggest concern is that the show won't resonate in the middle states and the West coast the way it has out here in NJ.  But then again, I'm pretty quick and adaptable, so I'll figure out what to do.  SO, here we go!  Adventure, here we come, it's been since early October that I started planning this tour!  This is a much awaited for day.

Thanks to everyone who help(ed) to make this tour happen.

YAY! this is great! Good luck to you and Kristen on the tour. I'm sure whoever sees the show will be touched by your performance. Talking about suicide isn't easy and the world is lucky to have you in it. Thank you for doing whtat you do.
