This workshop is for anyone who feels that they have something to say and doesn't quite know how to get it out. Or, maybe, you have so many ideas you don't know where to start. Help with poetry, spoken word, monologues, lyrics, plays, screenplays, performance art. Whatever your genre, you'll participate in an invaluable, safe space to explore your voice and shape it however you feel you want to.

Writing is mostly done in the workshop - not loads of work outside of class.

Cost of Class: $180 (first class is free - so you can come try it out)
Saturday mornings 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. ((Oh, you won't be too hungover to get the most out of it! Really!))

Information about my teaching approach: My goal is to guide students to find their own voice - what tickles, excites and moves them - and then to ensure that they gain a strong sense of self and an ability to trust their instincts. Only within this context will the fundamentals of art-creation mean anything. I strive to achieve this by establishing a strong rapport with students through communication and clear guidelines and by creating a nurturing, disciplined, fun and safe environment in which they can explore freely. I avidly believe in teaching students, rather than making students learn from me.

Walk-ins accepted, but reservations are appreciated so that there is enough material for everyone. For those interested in continuing after the first class, Payment of $90 is due at the end of the first class.
